Nicolet Beach: This family favorite is located just a few minutes away from Ephraim Shores in Peninsula State Park. The large sandy beach and swimming area, kayak and paddle board rentals, snack bar, and food trucks make it easy to enjoy a full day on the water.
Ephraim Public Beach: Located on the shores of Eagle Harbor (with great views of Peninsula State Park!), this public sandy beach with plenty of parking is perfect for anyone staying in Ephraim. Bonus: it’s walkable to some of our favorite eats: Good Eggs, Lost Tuk Tuk, and Prince of Pierogi.
Waterfront Park, Sister Bay: 10 miles away from Ephraim Shores, Sister Bay’s Waterfront Park is in the heart of the village — which means you’re just steps away from shopping, dining, and live music.
Egg Harbor Beach: A 20-minute car ride from our resort, Egg Harbor’s beach is the most recently renovated of all the Door County beaches, where a purchase of additional land extended the beach’s waterfront to 500 feet. The beach now offers several amenities, such as a small boat hand launch ramp, additional parking spots and walking paths, and changing rooms.
Schoolhouse Beach: If you’re heading to Washington Island as part of your Door County adventure, this beach is not to be missed. Schoolhouse Beach is known for its smooth round rocks, incredibly clear water, and serene atmosphere.
These are just a few of our favorite Door County beaches — there are 53 public beaches on the peninsula, so there’s no shortage of sun, sand, and good times to be had.
